Model year 1976 saw the last of the "big-'birds", sharing its platform, engine, styling cues and assembly line with Lincoln's magnificent Mark IV. A big smooth 460 cu in (7.5 ltr) powers this T-bird effortlessly down the road thanks to a flat torque curve peaking with 355 lb-ft at a lazy 2,600 rpm and despite its emissions strangled 202 horses!
This particular example was released from the purgatory of a 28 year museum incarceration in 2009 to feel the tarmac under its white-stripe tires (sic) once more. Of course, at its first valid MoT since its release the Thunderbird failed because of its standard Federal lighting...

The combination of this car's limited edition Creme & Gold Luxury group option with the unique period styling of 1970's American vehicles called for sensitive treatment when it came to modifying the lights. Thanks to Teslayn Engineering's R & D labs, a high-tech solid-state solution has been employed to resolve the conundrum.
