2009 Chevrolet Camaro - The Inside Story
21st Century Sophisticated Muscle
The 2009 fifth generation Camaro is based on GM's corporate global rear drive platform code-named "Zeta". This platform has been designed by GM Holden (Australia) for their Commodore VE range of vehicles, and is already serving duty in the USA underpinning the much acclaimed Pontiac G8 sedan.

At a cost approaching AU$1,000,000,000 to develop, Zeta is the most sophisticated full-size rear-drive car platform yet developed by GM and compares favourably with the vaunted Chrysler LX platform cars (300, Charger, Challenger) and GM's own Sigma II mid-size platform found under the new Cadillac CTS-V, with which it shares the same design principles.
